Before PicturesWhat follows are some images of the house, as we found it. There's a quite a bit of work to be done, certainly. I'll try to take notes... Callejon de Barranca literaly translates to Ravine Alley. The house is situated on a pretty good slope. These pictures were taken pre-purchase. The previous owner had made her living by renting out rooms to college students. The house appears to have had it's last facelift about 40 years ago, judging from the tiles and other details. The repair of the house was neither very good or very bad. It was clear it would need some work with mechanical systems at the very least. There were also indications of water encroachment in several rooms. It is the one room which opens to the street on the first floor. Note the toilet, and the wash basin, which is the bowl on top of the 5 gallon bucket. The shower is harder to see, it is in the doorway. Water from the shower drained (hopefully) under the door out into the street. The worn broom in the corner is a nice touch.
