La Casa en Guanajuato

The good news: We stayed in the apartment, discovering things like: we need a bathroom mirror, you can't buy a good sofa-bed in Guanajuato, the selection of refrigerators which will fit in the kitchen is pretty limited. The better news? With the windows closed, we were reasonably insulated from the sounds of the night, and the light of the day. All in all, it was very comfortable. A little bit more furniture, and we'll call it done.

On the construction front, not too much to show. Three weeks of work on the structure of the bedrooms off the new patio has created a lot of debris, and materials for the boveda ceiling and the tile floors fill every nook and cranny. The dining room is now storing sand and gravel. While the apartment is shaping up, the main house is in pretty bad shape.

There is a lot of activity, though.
